Taylor Harvey's House Concert Is Saturday

The Taylor Harvey BandBack in February I told readers of ShyCloud.com that singer/songwriter Taylor Harvey and his new band were hard at work on a CD to be named "A Place To Call My Own." That new CD came out in late April, and The Taylor Harvey Band will play a La Mesa house concert this Saturday, May 22, to officially release the CD to the world.

I shot this photo of The Taylor Harvey Band last November when they performed at a benefit concert for cancer-stricken drummer Steve King of Buffed Out. From the left are drummer Jaron Lyon, bass player Steve Campana, lead singer/guitarist Taylor Harvey and guitarist Tim Edwards.

Here's some info I received recently from Taylor:

THE TAYLOR HARVEY BAND: A Place To Call My OwnJust a reminder for you that my new CD with my new (and awesome) band is out and available. It's called "A Place To Call My Own" and I'd love for you to support your local musicians and pick up a copy. The reviews are coming in and they are saying some very good things about this one, so please check it out on CDBaby.com.

It's important to me that you show up for the CD Release House Concert we'll be doing at 1 p.m. on the 22nd of this month, because it's the best forum for local artists to play their stuff, and the venue for this one is Cheri Robertson's beautiful back yard in La Mesa! Opening the show will be Matt Baxter, a very talented singer/songwriter from Orange County.

Admission is $15 and all proceeds will go to the performers. Seating is limited. Please R.S.V.P. to Cheri (Cheri72@cox.net) or to me (TayHarvey@aol.com) so we'll know how many to expect for the BBQ. Please bring a dish to share. Coolers are welcome.
