Schroeder's Club Schedule Is Extended

Todd Schroeder & Ric HenryI'd like to congratulate the great people who have created Schroeder's Club and Cabaret for being so successful that they recently announced their run at the Westin Horton Plaza has been extended through September! Bravo, my friends! Bravo!

My personal connection with Schroeder's goes all the way back to 1976, when I met a very pretty and talented high school girl named Pixie O'Donnell. Pixie grew up and married Tom Warren, who eventually became partners with Sher Krieger in Show Must Go On Productions. They started this cabaret series Downtown at Cafe 828 in April 2003, starring their very own Bettina "Pixie" Warren, then moved the events north to the Del Mar Hilton last fall, where Pixie and other singers performed two or three shows a month until May. In June they opened Schroeder's Club and Cabaret, along with pianoman Todd Schroeder and his brother Timm Dietschak. I shot this photo of Todd and Ric Henry at a party after the June 11 opening show.

Here is an e-mail from SMGO's Sher Krieger:

Schroeder's Club and Cabaret is proud to announce that we are extending our run at the Westin Horton Plaza! We've had a great time creating the venue and we've enjoyed the wonderful performers who have been with us over the last seven weeks, including Todd Schroeder, Sam Harris, Maude Maggart, Bettina "Pixie" Warren, Leigh Scarritt, Danielle Forsgren, Ric Henry, Eileen Bowman and Phil Johnson. We’ve also enjoyed meeting so many of you and we appreciate your friendship and continued support.
