Twiggs Show Honors Life Of Jessica Treat
I had never heard of Jessica Treat until I received an e-mail last week from Danielle LoPresti announcing a special show at Twiggs Green Room on Thursday, August 19, to honor Jessica, who passed away from breast cancer July 29 at only 35 years old.
Curious about who Jessica Treat had been, I searched for her on Google and discovered her web site, www.JessicaTreat.net, which is being turned into a shrine in her memory. While I never knew Jessica Treat, she sounds like someone I would have enjoyed knowing, if I had gotten the chance. I'm sad for people like Danielle, who did know Jessica, and have lost her. I borrowed this picture of Jessica from her web site, so our readers can see what she looked like.
This is Danielle's e-mail about Thursday's show:

This special show, which was booked by Jessica Treat just a couple of months ago, is to honor her... our Friend and Sister, who just passed from breast cancer.
If you like, bring a candle with you, something safe to light in the performance space, something inside glass... we'll light them all and feel the presence of all those we love, here and no longer here, while we do our best to honor them with the music.
