Hear Danielle LoPresti On "Locals Live"
Danielle LoPresti and The Masses will be Joan Rubin's featured guests from 10 a.m. until noon tomorrow, Tuesday, September 28, on her "Locals Live" radio show on KKSM. I shot this photo of Danielle in March when she performed at a Women's History Month Celebration.
Danielle was one of the driving forces behind that event, and together with her bandmate Kelly Bowen, she also has co-produced a number of Indie By Design showcases at various venues. They currently are putting together the first ever San Diego Indie Music Fest, which is set for Sunday, November 14. On "Locals Live" they will play music by performers who will appear at the festival.
I will be listening to "Locals Live" tomorrow to learn more about Danielle, who seems like a very interesting woman. I expect it to be a fascinating morning! KKSM can be heard three ways: on the radio at 1320-AM, through Cox Digital Cable Channel 958, and on the Internet at www.palomar.edu/kksm.
By the way, Danielle LoPresti and The Masses have a CD out called "22 Mountains." If you haven't heard the band before and you'd like to check them out before the "Locals Live" show, click on the picture of the CD to listen to clips from its songs.
Here's an e-mail I received from Danielle:
Danielle LoPresti and The Masses are going to be playing live tomorrow, Tuesday morning, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on KKSM. Here's the super cool part, we get to play a few songs live and we get to spin tunes of artists we love or who have inspired us. Soooooo, we've decided to make the whole show a brilliant testimony to the power and excellence of Indie Music in San Diego and beyond.Posted at 7:23 PM in Music
We are going to thus be playing music of Indie Artists who will be appearing at the 1st ever San Diego Indie Music Fest, www.SDIndieMusicFest.com, coming up on November 14, or artists who have been on or who are soon to be on one of our Indie By Design shows. So tune in for a deliciously juicy sampling of what your senses will be feasting on in November!
