Quincy Playing At Lestat's Wednesday
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Quincy will be making one of her much-too-rare San Diego appearances on Wednesday, February 16, at Lestat's Coffee House in Normal Heights, the neighborhood I lived in way back when I was in grade school at nearby St. Didacus.
I met Quincy on Memorial Day of 2004 at one of Bridget Brigitte's Music Mondays at Humphrey's Backstage Lounge, where I shot this photo of her. I really liked both Quincy's voice and her songs. After seeing and hearing her back then, I wrote that she was my favorite of the performers I'd seen for the first time that night, and I called her "a dark-haired beauty from Los Angeles with an ethereal voice."
Quincy has a CD out called "Also Known As Mary," which was the very first CD that ShyCloud.com sold for one of our friends through CDBaby.com! We've since sold a second copy of it too! If you'd like to hear clips from the songs on the CD, click on this picture of it.
Also appearing with Quincy at Lestat's on Wednesday night will be Nashville artist Clare Burson and New York-based Stephen Clair. The all-ages show begins at 9 p.m. and there will be a $5 cover charge. Quincy is scheduled to take the stage around 11.Posted at 12:37 PM in Music
